Safeguarding Monitoring Features

Using data from the Internet Watch Foundation and other sources, WatchGuard Cloud Safeguarding monitors searches for terminology associated with child exploitation and can immediately send an intervention message containing the device name, IP address, username, timestamp, and search term to a set of email addresses specified by the administrator.

We ensure that Safe search is turned on by default on our service.

Fastvue Search Engine Report

The report allows administrators to actively monitor user-submitted keywords, phrase and activity to Duckduck Go, Bing and Google through a WatchGuard Firebox.

The report identifies the date, time, username, originating host, search engine, and keywords that were submitted to the respective search engine.

WebBlocker with URL Filtering

WebBlocker blocks web-based malware, helps ensure secure remote connectivity, and provides tight control over web surfing – even on HTTPS, the notorious backdoor students use to beat conventional web filters. Moreover, it prevents access to illegal content, such as child sexual abuse material (CSAM), and blocks militant and extremist content using lists, such as those from the UK Counter Terrorism Internet Referral Unit (CTIRU). It’s also a key solution used to meet Wi-Fi standards.
