IT Consultant (Part Time/Full Time/ Optional Term Time Only) upto £22,000 (DOE)

We are seeking an IT Consultant to serve our clients, working with our team to provide IT Support for our customer’s requirements. Experience in education is a must. The role involves visiting customer’s sites, working the customers requirements and exceeding customer satisfaction to excel at service delivery.

IT Consultants work in a dynamic, fast paced environment which provides services over the phone, through our service desk, e-mail, phone, in person (for walk-in customers) and self-service.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • To diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents, including operating systems (Windows and Mac) and across a range of software applications.
  • To assist all our users with any logged IT related incident when called upon.
  • To take ownership of issues by carrying out problem analysis to implement temporary or permanent fixes with the aim of restoring service to the customer as soon as possible; escalating incidents to other support teams where necessary.
  • To accurately record, update and document requests using the IT service desk system
  • To install and configure new IT equipment
  • To resolve incidents and upgrade different types of software and hardware
  • To resolve incidents with printers, copiers and scanners
  • To maintain a first class level of customer service ensuring that all customers are treated efficiently and in an appropriate manner.
  • Maintain excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues at all levels in the organisations we work for.
The applicant must also hold a full driving license. Appointment subject to Enhanced DBS check.

Administration Assistant

We are seeking Administration Support to our colleagues. This is a flexible position, enabling you to work the hours that you would like to work – either on a Full or Part Time basis.

The desirable candidate, should to be familiar with:

  • Sage Accounts
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook / Word / Excel)
  • Web based ordering systems
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills
  • An Excellent Telephone Manner
  • Be able to work independently, as well as a team
  • To maintain a first class level of customer service ensuring that all customers are treated efficiently and in an appropriate manner.

Whilst these are desirable, full training will be provided. Salary is dependent on experience. The position starts in January 2019.

Apprenticeship Opportunities

Apprenticeships are an excellent way of gaining qualifications and workplace experience. As an employee, you can earn as you learn and you gain practical skills from the workplace. As employees, apprentices earn a wage and work alongside experienced staff to gain job-specific skills. Off the job, usually on a day-release basis, apprentices receive training to work towards nationally recognised qualifications. Anyone living in England, over 16 years old and not in full-time education can apply.

Apprenticeships can take between one and four years to complete depending on:

The level of apprenticeship
The apprentices’ ability
The industry sector.
The minimum salary is £2.65 per hour, though some apprentices may be able to earn significantly more.
