IT Consultant (Part Time/Full Time/ Optional Term Time Only) upto £22,000 (DOE)

We are seeking an IT Consultant to serve our clients, working with our team to provide IT Support for our customer’s requirements. Experience in education is a must. The role involves visiting customer’s sites, working the customers requirements and exceeding customer satisfaction to excel at service delivery.

IT Consultants work in a dynamic, fast paced environment which provides services over the phone, through our service desk, e-mail, phone, in person (for walk-in customers) and self-service.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • To diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents, including operating systems (Windows and Mac) and across a range of software applications.
  • To assist all our users with any logged IT related incident when called upon.
  • To take ownership of issues by carrying out problem analysis to implement temporary or permanent fixes with the aim of restoring service to the customer as soon as possible; escalating incidents to other support teams where necessary.
  • To accurately record, update and document requests using the IT service desk system
  • To install and configure new IT equipment
  • To resolve incidents and upgrade different types of software and hardware
  • To resolve incidents with printers, copiers and scanners
  • To maintain a first class level of customer service ensuring that all customers are treated efficiently and in an appropriate manner.
  • Maintain excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues at all levels in the organisations we work for.

Installations Engineer (Part Time) upto £20,000 (DOE)

We are seeking an Installations Engineer to serve our clients, provide professional, effective, knowledgeable and rapid Audio-Visual (AV).
Provide support for the operation and maintenance of equipment in the physical teaching environments.
Installation of Interactive Panels, Projectors and AV equipment. Our engineers work to a schedule to provide services to our client base. Our target area is Kent.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • To provide installations to our customers sites
  • Assist in the delivery of specific projects when required, drawing on available resources to provide recommendations, designs, costing, deployment and technical testing.
  • Assist in the setting up, operating, editing and processing of lectures and events (including studio operations) using a range of specialist AV hardware and software.
  • Undertake commissioning of new technical areas including specialist AV and IT equipment, control systems, and audio induction loops.
  • Maintain a knowledge of specific technical specialisms, and provide advice regarding their application.
  • Install or remove hardware and/or software, using supplied instructions and tools conducting tests, correcting malfunctions, and documenting results in accordance with agreed procedures. Provide assistance to users in a professional manner following agreed procedures for further help or escalation and contribute to the development of installation procedures and standards.

Apprenticeship Opportunities

Apprenticeships are an excellent way of gaining qualifications and workplace experience. As an employee, you can earn as you learn and you gain practical skills from the workplace. As employees, apprentices earn a wage and work alongside experienced staff to gain job-specific skills. Off the job, usually on a day-release basis, apprentices receive training to work towards nationally recognised qualifications. The minimum salary is £2.65 per hour, though some apprentices may be able to earn significantly more.
