Education: Case Studies

Primary Technologies prides itself in helping schools in the local area. We specialise in our independent consultancy where we are primarily approached by Headteachers under recommendation or after a bad experience with a previous provider. If you are having problems with your network or you employ unreliable network support, we can help you to achieve the goals as well as taking ICT and mangaing your system for you.

Please read through our reference sites to view their experiences.

Case Study One

This school is located on the outskirts of Deal in Kent. Primary Technologies have carried out a full network installation at this school. We installed new computers in the ICT suite and setup a network called Ranger Primary. Ranger is an excellent, easy to manage solution for primary schools. The school currently have 40 computers on the Ranger network.

Prior to the installation, we had meetings with the Headteacher and ICT Co-ordinator to discuss what they needed from the system and what the weak areas were with the old system.

The school is now very happy with the new network by working with Primary Technologies, they now have a action plan for their ICT Budget for the next two years. We can plan for replacement PCs, additional projectors, whiteboards etc.

Primary Technologies can help you plan a network in its design stages; please contact us for more information.

This school was one of the very first to utilise our support services.

The school uses RM Community Connect 3 network and has around 35 PCs as well as interactive whiteboards in every classroom, projector and sound system.

This school makes the most of its ICT resources by implementing software for use with the interactive whiteboards. We have worked with the school over the years to look at ways forward with the system, build software packages, fault find and maintenance of the entire network.

Case Study Four

For this school, Primary Technologies was asked to provide a reliable networked (wired and wireless) solution.

This school employs us on an ad-hoc basis whereby the school gain an efficent service where Technicans and Network Managers can support the school. Here we designed and impletemented a network solution that has a server and 50 computers as well as a wireless mobile laptop trolley.

All updates and backups are done automatically so that the LSA who manages the network can have peace of mind.

For this school we provide email, telephone and remote support. They then can be at ease about whether we will get the job done in a timely fashion.
